Mike Allen chosen as Distinguished Teacher Award recipient

Dr. Michael Allen was selected as this year's recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award. Allen will receive a $5,000 award and will be honored at the UWT Founders Day ceremony on May 25, at the UW Recognition Ceremony on June 9, and again at the UWT commencement on June 10.
A six-member committee, led by last year's winner Beth Kalikoff, mulled over the nominations for ten different instructors and announced Allen as this year's top choice over spring break.
Allen is an IAS professor with several published books, the most recent of which being "A Patriot's History of the United States." He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Washington, Seattle and was one of UWT's founding faculty members.
