Tacoma campus to honor commitment to transfer students

University of Washington President Mark Emmert signed an agreement last week with representatives from the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and the Higher Education Coordinating Board promising 72 percent of baccalaureate seats on the Tacoma campus to transfer students with at least 45 credits.
Legislatures in Olympia are currently working to open the UWT campus to enrollment to freshman and sophomore students beginning in 2007.
The agreement will remain in effect until the 2010-2011 school year when it will undergo a review.
