Capers? Yum.
Take the Link to the other end of Pacific Avenue for a quiet, upscale lunch.

The menu was split into six categories; Capers favorites, soup/chili, salads, side salads, sandwiches and hot sandwiches. I recognized the style of this eatery to be "laid back gourmet," with items such as zucchini quesadilla with sunset salad ($9.99), and Dungeness crab casserole also served with the sunset salad ($11.99). Customers are asked to order and pay at the counter prior to being given a number, seated and served. I found this to be tacky considering their prices ranging from about $9-$14 per dish.
I finally opted for the Turkey, avocado and Swiss sandwich with a side of macaroni salad for $8.99. The sandwich was served on whole grain bread, the salad was light and delicious. As far as their beverages go, soft drinks are $1.50 and glasses of wine range from $3.50-$6. The Coke I ordered came in a vintage style glass bottle, which added an old school charm to the lunch.
Capers is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is the perfect place for a quick and casual lunch with friends.
