I'm broke as usual and can't afford Spring Break this year. I already took the time off work, and want to make the most of my time. Any suggestions for me? - Mark W.

Usually I would say take a road trip, but those can be super spendy these days anyways. If you want to "make the most" of your time, I would try making some money right now. I mean, it IS a hard earned break so I'm not suggesting you work yourself silly, however responding to a Craigslist ad for yard clean-up, moving help, and other seemingly legit ads can't hurt. If you want some around-the-town, zero-cost fun, head to downtown with an old Polaroid camera and take some cool sunny-day pictures for an art project! You can also do a day trip to Point Defiance and enjoy a beach and park day at Five-Mile Drive. If you really want to be ambitious as a student, look at your class schedules for next quarter and start doing some of your readings.

My boyfriend always passes gas in bed and it really grosses me out. I'm not 100 percent sure if he is sleeping or not though, so I feel bad calling him out or getting mad at him. What should I do? - Stinky Sleepless Sophomore

Tee-hee. Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you, I have been in similar situations. Hopefully, you are in a place in your relationship where your communication is open enough to bring this up sometime. However, probably don't do this in bed, because if he really is sleeping, guys really don't typically enjoy being woken up. Laugh it off if he is in dreamland when the toots happen, but if he admits he was awake, the next step is personal. I would probably just give him some revenge if it were me, but if this truly grosses you out, consider having a more serious talk about Bean-o and other ideas.

My books for next quarter are going to cost me an arm and a leg - besides used books online and asking my friends on Facebook, any suggestions for dirt cheap textbooks? - Thrifty Tom

Triple check online, as there are many used and student-geared Web sites out that there will sell you cheap new and used books. Another fabulous way to go is renting a book. If you are the type that barely cracks the pages, and loves text book sell-back like most, you should try renting your textbooks. I have had great success with a company called Chegg. Check out the Ledger review of Chegg on Page 10 for more information.
